A group of local amateur singers with a common love of unaccompanied performance. Motet’s repertoire is drawn largely (but not exclusively) from the 16th and 17th centuries, which provide music that is particularly satisfying to sing – of varied styles, but always with intricate challenges for all voice parts.

Motet have performed at various events around Stowmarket and further afield. These include the town’s Christmas Tree festival in St Peter and St Mary’s Church, a charity concert at Our Lady's Stowmarket (where they appeared again in October 2013) and Bildeston’s very successful B Natural festival.
